Slate: Our New Pop-up RestaurantBlog, Dining, The Inns // Bryan Peck // 27 June 2017
A clean slate. That’s how each day is started at 283 Main Street in Aurora, New York: we wipe the slate clean and break out the chalk for a new set of hand-drawn menus.
Dine-in at one of our vintage ice cream stools or swing by and bring meals home to share with the rest of the family — all of our meals are packaged to-go. Our pop-up restaurant is open through August 6, 2017, from Wednesday through Sunday. Dinner is themed each day of the week we’re open, representing a culinary theme:
- Wednesday: Italian
- Thursday: Asian
- Friday: Seafood
- Saturday: Mexican
- Sunday: American Comfort
Although the daily themes stay the same, the menu is drafted each week with fresh ideas and released on the Slate Facebook page.
Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a variation of salad and sandwich options, pint & quart-sized deli salads from the case, and of course, beverages. Dinners start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. and consist of one entrée option with sides for each themed night. Stop by anytime to sit on the back patio listening and listen to the lake’s waves with a beer in-hand.
After your meal, surrender to your sweet tooth and take a charming stroll to the Village Market for a Dorie’s Bakery treat — the perfect end to a refreshing Finger Lakes meal.
