Aurora Cooks! Bread Demonstration 3:30 pm
May 11 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Join Patrick Higgins and Grace Mattingly at Aurora Cooks—the Inns of Aurora’s stunning new demonstration kitchen—for a relaxed and educational tasting experience. After a champagne toast, gather around the island or have a seat at a nearby table as though you’re at a chef’s home kitchen and enjoy all of the comforts afforded by an outstanding host.
With delectable tastes and take-away tips for applying expert techniques in your own home, this 90-minute demonstration is an engaging and intimate culinary experience. Enjoy a glass or two of wine, a craft beer, or a hand-blended cup of tea as you watch, learn, and taste the magic behind a truly well-made meal.
In this edition of Aurora Cooks, we’ll explore the technique of Baking Bread.
To many of us, baking bread can be very intimidating. From flours to yeasts we will dive into three types of bread: lean bread dough, flatbread, and enriched dough. Crispy exterior with a soft interior, flat and chewy and a sweet dough for brioche or challah. Enjoy sandwiches, dips, and jams while we do the work! Let us teach you how to fill your house with the dreamy smell of freshly baked bread!
Classes are open to all and begin promptly at 3:30 p.m.—doors open at 3:20 p.m. Seating is limited to 26 guests. Tickets are $75 plus tax. Please register in advance.
