Making a Great Cocktail
Join our master cocktail maker Erin McElhinney at Aurora Cooks—the Inns of Aurora’s stunning new demonstration kitchen— and explore the ins and outs of creating a great libation. During this relaxing and informative workshop, you’ll learn about base spirits, what compliments them, and how to reach the perfect balance between heat, acid, and sweetness. Hands-on participation includes a taste of the final product.
Complete your culinary journey with dinner at the 1833 Kitchen and Bar. Reservations strongly encouraged.
Classes are open to all and begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.—doors open at 5:20 p.m. Seating is limited to 24 guests. Tickets are $45 plus tax. Please register no less than 48 hours in advance.
FINE PRINT: Please inform us of any food allergies when registering. As classes are designed for demonstration and not intended to be a meal, separate dishes will not be prepared based on preference. Classes are open to guests aged 18 years and older, and a valid photo I.D. will is required to be served alcohol. Cocktail and wine classes require that all participants be at least 21 years old. If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund, retain a credit, or transfer to another class. Without the 24 hour notice, the registration fee is non-refundable. You may, however, send someone to class in your place.
