The Gift of Wellness

Forgetting to allow time for personal wellness is easy, though so important for overall well-being. The Gift of Wellness provides a four-day experience designed to promote healthy rest and relaxation, led by Laura Coburn, our Ayurveda-certified Director of Serenity and your personal wellness concierge.

Embark on a mind, body, and spirit-balancing journey, including private activities such as organic tea blending, restorative yoga, massage therapy treatments, Ayurvedic consultations and cooking demonstrations, nature basking, Tarot card reading, and customized workouts.

Day One

11:00 a.m. – Check in.

11:30 a.m. – Meet with your personal wellness concierge, Director of Serenity Laura Coburn, for a private organic tea blending session and introduction to Ayurveda class, followed by a personal Ayurvedic consultation.

1:30 p.m. – Unstructured free time. Recommended activities include journaling, reading, or meditation.

4:00 p.m. – Wellness elixir and mocktail making class with Assistant Dining Room Manager Ben Maywalt.

5:30 p.m. – Dinner in the Aurora Inn Dining Room. Enjoy specially selected and curated dosha-balancing dishes, recommended by the Director of Serenity and prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Higgins.

7:30 p.m. – Meet in the Loft with the Director of Serenity for a lesson in sleep preparation and restorative yoga before bed.

Day Two

9:30 a.m. – Meet your personal fitness coach Michelle for a fitness consultation and customized workout, followed by a cooldown stretch and restorative yoga with the Director of Serenity.

11:00 a.m. – Enjoy a warm, house-made dosha-balancing breakfast before unstructured free time. Recommended activities include resting or in-room restorative posing to aid digestion, guided by the Director of Serenity.

1:00 p.m. – Embark on nature basking — a walk through the surrounding natural flora, enhanced with guided nature meditations and Ayurvedic practice recommendations from the Director of Serenity.

3:00 p.m. – Massage therapy treatment in the Loft.

5:00 p.m. – Join the Director of Serenity and Chef de Cuisine Eric Lamphere for an Ayurvedic cooking lesson.

8:00 p.m. – Fireside tarot card reading and evening meditation in your inn.

Day three

10:00 a.m. – Meet with the Director of Serenity for a seasonal, dosha-appropriate nature adventure.

11:30 a.m. – Ayurvedic breakfast in your inn.

12:30 p.m. – Meet with an Ayurveda Health Counselor to plan your personal take-home wellness practices.

2:00 p.m. – Unstructured free time. Recommended activities include exploring historic Aurora or individual yoga practice in the Loft.

4:00 p.m. – Join the Director of Serenity for an essential oil blending class in the Schoolhouse, creating blends that support immunity, mood, and digestion.

6:00 p.m. – Dinner at your leisure.

8:30 p.m. – Turn down and tuck in: the Director of Serenity offers in-room guided meditation and restorative postures to promote better sleep, accompanied by a weighted blanket, custom-made organic tea, a take-home eye mask and ear plugs, and Banyan Botanicals Sleep Easy essential oil.

Day Four

9:00 a.m. – Meet the Director of Serenity for an Ayurvedic breakfast and receive your personal wellness take-home kit with resources and amenities to support your wellness path post-checkout.

11:00 a.m. – Check out.
