The ancient Chinese believed that human beings should live in harmony with the natural cycles of their environment. The stillness of winter invites us to slow down and live well. This is the time of year to reflect on our health and replenish our energy — join us by the water where quiet abounds and the fireplaces are in full swing.
Our signature women’s yoga retreat with Live Yum is equal parts inspiration and relaxation. Sip wine, enjoy inspiring chats, and custom-blend tea with Laura Coburn, our Director of Serenity. Partake in yoga and Live Yum nourishment demonstrations with Liz Price-Kellog and Kristen Taylor, and leave with tools for supporting your health all winter long. Master your mood through skillful breathing and learn simple stretches to keep your joints happy. Take the opportunity to journal and create a vision for the coming year, or simply curl up with that book you’ve been wanting to read and catch up on your sleep.
Accommodations and many activities for the retreat are centered in Rowland House, one of the four Inns of Aurora. Built-in 1903 and restored in 2014, Rowland House offers four-diamond guestrooms, an exceptional collection of modern art, antiques from around the world, pristine water views, comfortable parlors for gathering by the fire, a stunning dining room, luxurious marble baths, and an innkeeper to see to your every need.
All sessions are optional and you are free to join in or spend some quiet time on your own.

This two-night retreat is $950 per person for single occupancy or $775 per person for double occupancy plus tax and gratuity including all meals, two nights of luxurious accommodations, instruction, and takeaways. PRESTAY WORKSHOP ADD-ON
Add a day of fun and mind-body rejuvenation to your stay! New to this year, Liz and Kristen invite guests attending the Inns of Aurora’s Women’s Wellness Weekend to participate in interactive and educational workshops on Thursday, January 25.
This intimate, pre-retreat add-on includes two hands-on yoga workshops: “Your Yoga” will focus on assessment and individual adjustments with emphasis on answering specific inquiries on yoga methodology. “Baby, I’m Getting Balanced” will explore yoga practices that cultivate balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically for optimum health.
The pre-stay package will also offer instruction in primordial sound meditation, a powerful, personalized mantra-based meditation technique rooted in the Vedic tradition of India that has been time-tested for its effectiveness and benefits. Benefits of regular primordial sound meditation practice can include stress relief, improved sleep, increased immunity, reduced anxiety, and improved relationships.
Further, the Inns of Aurora invites pre-stay guests to join us in a fabulous around Aurora progressive dining experience where guests will have an opportunity to taste the culinary delights from the Inns of Aurora’s various dining establishments.
