Frequently Asked Questions

  • We require a non-refundable deposit, which is applied toward the total cost of your wedding experience. The final balance of your event is due upon conclusion of your event. All deposits are non-refundable.

  • Our venue fee includes the use of Gratitude—our dedicated getting-ready space—a lakeside tented ceremony, our reception tent with dance floor, and use of our lakeside fire pit. This venue fee also includes our classic set of tables, chairs, linen, china, service ware, lighting, and a champagne toast for all guests.

  • We’d be delighted to help you plan both or either! We offer an extensive array of venues (including Rowland House, Aurora Cooks!, the Fargo Bar & Grill, and the Lakeside Room at the Aurora Inn) to make each gathering during your wedding special and distinctive.

  • No décor may be affixed to any portion of our tents, the walls of our buildings, or the historic murals in the Lakeside Room. To preserve our lawns, we do not permit rose petals or any items staked into the ground. We do not permit fog or smoke machines, and per village regulations do not permit fireworks.

  • All weddings at the Aurora Inn must reserve all ten guestrooms the night of the wedding and may block additional guestrooms. Rowland House and Wallcourt Hall are popular additions—we are delighted to guide and assist you through this process.

  • Wedding receptions may last up to six hours and must end by 11:00 p.m., per village noise regulations. All other events may last up to four hours and must also end by 11:00 p.m.

  • We are delighted to schedule your tasting after you sign your contract. Menu selections must be completed 60 days prior to your event and we will detail all arrangements for you to approve. All prices are subject to change (up to a 3% increase) up to 60 days prior to your event. We do not permit outside food or beverage at Inns of Aurora events with the exception of wedding cakes.

  • The elegant Lakeside Room at the Aurora Inn can accommodate up to 80 guests. From May through October, events for up to 200 guests can be accommodated at the Aurora Inn under our soaring white Sperry sailcloth tent.

Rowland House can accommodate 20 guests for a seated indoor meal and up to 50 guests for a tented meal on the home’s lakeside lawn. We require the use of our graceful white sailcloth tent for events of over 20 guests at Rowland House, along with a two-night rental of its 10 guest rooms.

From Our Couples

Absolutely Perfect

Our wedding was absolutely perfect in every way. The space was spectacular, the food was amazing, and the staff really made it all come together without a hitch. We cannot say enough about that amazing weekend and our guests still tell us it was the best wedding they had ever attended!

A Weekend for Us

We obviously loved the beauty of getting married right on the water with the beautiful sunset in the background of our reception! The food was amazing, as was the service. Mostly, we LOVED having our rehearsal and bridal party stay at the Rowland House. It felt like an entire weekend getaway to celebrate us!

Felt Like Family

Getting married at the Inns of Aurora took a lot of the stress out of the planning for us — the staff was helpful and responsive and made me and my family feel like family of the Inn. Not only are the grounds gorgeous, but the staff really made our wedding for us — both the wedding/room arrangements staff, and the innkeepers during the weekend.

The Perfect Wedding

Besides the stunning views, wonderful staff that helped execute our wedding perfectly, and the amazing food, the best part of getting married at the Inns of Aurora was the convenience of having the perfect wedding all in one spot. We were able to get ready at the E.B. Morgan House, walk to the venue at the Aurora Inn, and even had the after party at the Fargo across the street. This minimized the stress of worrying about our guests going from location to location—everything was right
where we needed it.
